Life as a Chip: Freshmen migration

LifeasaChip“Life as a Chip” is a new podcast that focuses on student life at Central Michigan University.

In this episode, Arielle Hines discusses why some freshmen decide to leave CMU after their first year.

According to the university’s “Vision, Mission, Priority Statements, Initiatives and Metrics Year-end Metrics Report,”   78% of freshmen return to CMU for their sophomore year. CMU President George Ross goal is for 80% of freshmen to return by 2019.

In this episode, Insider asks a resident assistant why he thinks some residents leave after their first year.
